Doris or the Fab Four?

The Black Hills have always inspired music. Two 20th century hits that stood the test of time, still recognized anywhere in the world, are Doris Day's Take Me Back to the Black Hills, and the Beatles' Rocky Raccoon. You can get into an argument in South Dakota about who best captured the spirit of the Black Hills -- Doris Day or the Beatles. Of course, it's just a matter of taste. Do you lean toward 1950s pop or 1960s pop-rock? To both sides I say, hey! We're talking Doris Day and the Beatles! Isn't it time for a younger artist to step up? Any takers? Kanye? Taylor? Adelle? Gaga?
